Scholarships for single parents

Scholarships for single parents are in great demand these days and have become quite popular. Under the Obama Administration, the US government has taken measures to offer funds to single dads and moms who desire to return to college, university, and trade school. There are scholarships and grants available to nearly any single parent, irrespective of the age of their children, income, employment, and GPA.

President Obama has offered numerous government scholarships and grants like Federal Pell Grant along with a good increase in the scholarships for single parents even in 2011. The scholarships include utility bills, rent, groceries, other living expenses, transportation, childcare, books and tuition. However, the best part of these scholarships is that they are offered with no return policy, unlike the student loans which needs to be repaid.

There are many students and parents who do not prefer this choice as they do not have any idea of how and where to apply. But, now internet has solved this problem also. Various private and government websites provide you online application forms that tell you about the various available programs and also tell you about the application process. Generally, it only asks for some general personal background. After this you would come to know the amount you would receive.
